Ebony Cochran is an action-driven serial entrepreneur and community change agent who is proudly proclaimed as “The Debt Survivor.” She’s bridging the gap between community opportunity, low-barrier access, and conscious exposure to credit and financial achievement.

Cochran owned, operated, and sold a six-figure tax business to the H&R Block company, in addition to owning and selling over 100 residential and commercial properties throughout the city of Detroit.

Blackwood Credit Services is Cochran’s humanitarian-forward company that has consulted more than 4,000 people and has driven the successful execution of over $35 million in debt elimination. Blackwood also launched two hundred businesses since first opening its doors in 2014.

In August 2022, Ebony expanded her business territory by purchasing a Little Caesars Franchise in the Greater Detroit Area with hopes of running it as a family-owned business.

She holds three associate degrees and earned her bachelor’s degree in business from Eastern Michigan University.
