While being a child from a large family of educators, factory workers, domestics and more on the eastside of Detroit, Linda felt the need early in life to connect with her community and others in multiple ways. The goal to serve others made her obtain several educational degrees from Wayne State University, resulting in helping children and families in the Detroit Public Schools System for 39 years.

As a retiree, she still interfaces with others through local and national artists, art programs, galleries and institutions. She now has a greater appreciation of all forms of art and has amassed a collection that she feels privileged and honored to share her love with the community and children art organizations, such as the Mint Artist Guild, the Pierians, National Conference of Arts and the Detroit Fine Arts Breakfast Club.

Art has been a family affair for Linda, her husband and three children. It has dominated their lives. It has also allowed them to meet and love other women with superpowers.
